I currently drive an EF and as owners of these know the headlights on low or high beam of this model are shocking for country driving. As I drive 90% on country roads I needed some extra lighting. I chose a universal light bar that I mounted with rubber grommets to absorb vibration and a pair of Hella 1000 FF series driving lights with 130w globes. The lights are now awesome, I cant say enough for these FF series driving lights and I havn`t had any heat probleams, however I am dead set against using this setup on an xr6t, mainly for looks. I have also recently changed my plus globes in the headlights for arctic blue by Narva which I found better for low beam but im not sure how they would go in an xr. I thought of upgrading to higher wattage globes on my xr when I take delivery but as turbo6man has advised polycarbonate lenses do not take kindly to this. I read somewhere that Ford were considering using xenon headlights for BA, does anyone know more about this and if it was or will be in the future?
