Called Croydon racing developments and they said they can't tell me anything about the engine or car it came from so best bet is to bring the car to them.

Bit of a development, engine was delivered and had a Croydon racing developments badge on the head, unichip ecu hard wired into the loom... Also the petrol lines stank of e85 so my mate and I believe it has been tuned for e85, engine is now in place but need an auto elec to wire it up and then will need to tow it to cms and possibly upgrade my fuel system to cope with the e85.

I got 20s on my BA xr6t and it's quiet, pirellis all round though, but the rears need replacing as they could be mistaken for mickey thomsons atm.

Typhoon motor will be delivered tomoro and installed sat/sun. Cruise to work Monday and take half a day off to see cms.

What made mine go bang was the boost controller plug wasn't connected, was running full boost/ over boost, basically a time bomb... The typhoon motor I have purchased has been tuned and comes with an aftermarket ecu so dunno if I should keep that or the stock xr6t ecu which has been retuned I was told by previous owner...

I'm inly chasing 330-350vkilla wasps for time being, more to come later though, once finds have built up again I'll build a wild motor and pump e85 into it... Am thinking of going to either castle hill exhaust or cms for the tune... Heard good things about both houses... And c.h.e is around the corner from me, but cms have some wicked work under their belt...

Typhoon engine had been sourced and paid for, awaiting delivery to my work then will be in this weekend, hopefully be in for a tune at a local tune house next week...

Nah ripping the motor out tomoro and will be able to take more pics then, that's the sump, maybe a dumb question but why check the diff bush?

So I purchased a ba mk11 xr6 turbo for a fairly reasonable price, drove it for a week and a day before it went bang. Heart sank for a split second but smile appeared rather hastily as the realisation of bigger and better set in.. Am getting a typhoon engine to slot in and build upon. Don't wanna go overboard, just a nice streetable daily that can take care of itself on the odd track day/ strip run. Pics and more info to follow. Worked out I can get a f6 typhoon motor for 2700, but minus accessories so just use my turbo and manifold and all sweet.

Cheers mate, everyone is like aren't u upset, I just see it as reason to build it bigger and better and know the capabilities and limitations. Was gonna hold off on doing so till had more funds but as it's the daily maybe just a bf to drop in for now.

Na I work at an auto dismantlers, will have what I need fairly quickly I think... But just gotta get it to work and on the hoist so can properly assess the damage, as it sits on super lows I can't get my head under far enuf to see anything. I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk
