  1. I wander at their ultra conservative marketing strategy. Look at the adds that are on the tele now for the Falcon and especially the ones about how popular the sales people are. That makes me cringe! I honestly think they have to change their advertising company. Look at the adds for the General, no cringe factor there!

guess what? I seen a NSW Police XR6T HP at Ag Quip a couple of weeks ago. It was parked alongside a Late model camira HP and an unmarked SS. No comparison in the looks department! The XR6T just looks so right. How about that for back on topic!

better? the police do their job which is all you can ask. I have had no problems with the law and I have been booked once or twice and they are not even remotely close to my hate list! Sounds like a great job that have and you are right about the Ford product otherwise we wouldn't be on the forum. And I do agree about the licensing problems with drivers on the road today, it should be tougher and there should mandatory driving course of some description included before a license is issued. But we don't make those decisions, someone does. Guess who is on my hate list? Politicians and managers especially in goverment departments who have no idea of the real world or what goes on out in the field. No one comes even remotely close after that

Really ? Do you just think they give the keys to anyone in the job who feels like driving something quicker? Even the most basic Police training requires at least 7 days of full time driver training just so you can drive the regular 6 cylinder Commodores or Falcons. To set foot in anything above the regular 6 cylinder, and where I come from this is XR6Ts, XR8s, SS Commodores, WRXs and (believe it or not) Volvo Station wagons, you have to do a pursuit drivers course. Which is at least 2 weeks, and quite hard to pass. In fact in my job if you want to have any sort of formal driver qual aside from your regular patrol permit, you have to do a course. This includes VIP protection driving, 4 wheel driving, tactical driving etc etc To hope that Police have proper training so they dont 'wrap them around a tree' is pretty naive. touchy

Todays Daily Telegraph motoring section. 316kw ute from bolt on kit, 4-inch stainless steel exhaust system and a new chip. A larger intercooler, larger radiator and ALCON brake package to showcase UK based manufacturer's brakes and clutches. 380mm brake discs and 6-pot calipers fill the inside of the 19-inch rims. Also mentioned is DJR enhanced XR8 and XR6 Turbo to the tune of 300kw!
