Hey boys, Been searching but cant find what I am looking for again hahaha. Where can I find the problems associated with each engine in the B-F series including lpg engines and what needs to be done to them and what power to expect. Cheers fellas.

So what is the problems with the BA BF? Why are the power figures so low compared to an F6 or FG for minor mods? Only asking cause I simply don't know. We are doing the falcon turbo 6 into a GQ shorty for drags and Lowmead 3 car winch challenge as well as a daily but anyways I am trying to find out all bout these engines from B series up. Cheers.

Yeah will do mate. I ran my diesel up on the dyno there and made some good numbers but the ol diesel shoukd be in a tractor not my shorty hahaha.

Not sure as to who will tune it.

Yeah copy that. My shorty is a diesel at the moment so wont need a computer to run the auto like patrol boxes and the likes. At the end of the day 600 kw is the aim for the car. And that's only just to keep up with my mates let alone get past hahaha

Ok marks do adaptors for transfer case but who does them from motor to box?

Yeah the drama is adaptor plates to transfer case. Which is the 4 spd TH box? Will still be a driver so need some fuel economy at 100 aswell.

Hey boys been searching but can't seem to find what I am looking for. Will a 4 speed auto from e-a-b series cars bolt up to the fg turbo engine? Its going in a patrol swb and will be driven hard and raced, from what I have heard that will mince the 6 speed input shafts. Just looking for options that is all. The patrol auto is agricultural at best. Cheers boys.

Yeah ok. That makes complete sense. I will have an auto behind it mated to yhe patrol transfer so I'm hoping I can stall the auto up enough to be on boost by the time the light changes.

Sweet as. Thanks for the info guys, this is where we will start. I have seen a lot of people making good hp on basic setups without even changing turbo. I will run with a gtx3582r or is that to small for what we are talking about. Only staying with the slightly smaller turbo so its not laggy offroad.

Yeah and big tyres and diffs in a heavy car to start with living on the limiter. These are my concerns.

So which is the best engine to start with? I will admit I have limited knowledge of these new falcon engines. I know patrols inside out but let's face it there engines are dinosaurs.

So what can the typhoon handle on stock internals?

Hi all take it easy on me as its my first time on here haha, We are putting an fg typhoon engine into a patrol for the purpose of dirt drags and well just an offroad weapon. Been out of the loop for a long while as we have been playing with diesel power but what I am chasing info on is will the fg typhoon engine make it into the 400s reliably with just bolt ons? Been researching for a few weeks and its seems do-able but just wanting to make sure. Cheers for any info.
