  1. Hi all, Got my new car yesterday, went to show the GF and accidentally bumped the car door on the garage wall .. It has rubbed a small area of paint off the corner edge of the door about 3/4" long and only a hair width wide - but since the car is in Blue Pearl and the scratch is down to the white paint then it's fairly noticeable.. If I was careful with the touchup paint will it help or make it look worse?
  2. Thanks for that! I did buy some stuff, but after reading that article I think I'll give it to the gf as a pressie (score some brownie points! ) and buy some new stuff....
  3. Hi all, I just picked up a new BA MkII XT and while the warranty lady was trying to sell me over $1600 in extras like rustproofing (which I got) and other assorted things she said the following... ... never wax or polish your car, as the wax and polish will cut away at your paint and ruin it ... She wanted me to pay $600ish for a paint protection thing and she told me simply to wash the car with a wash that doesn't include polish in it.. I've just started reading the LS1 article (have a long way to go)... Is she speaking sh*t? Should I avoid the waxing and polishing? I do want the car to look its best and I am happy to do what's best?? Any advice? Cheers....
