To everyone out there... please express your opinions and give me some advice from your experience with the XR6 for the purchase I am about to sign off on. I am looking at a 05 MKII, Lightning strike, 6 speed. I am getting 18 inch wheels and premium sound added. I your opinion, would you advise on a few issues: 1.) go for it now or wait for the the BF? ( I am getting just barely over $8k discount) 2.) forget about the manual and go for the auto ( I do plan on adding mod's & live and drive in metro Sydney) 3.) Add/Remove and additional options (leather vs cloth, premium brakes, etc) 4.) any thing else worth mentioning on getting a new XR6T! much appreciated

Hey Dal- Congrats on the new purchase! I am in the same situationi as you. Just got back from dealer yesterday. Lightning strike, 6 speed at around 7K discount. Just one question for you. Have you considered waiting for the BF model coming out in October? After reading this forum, I am wondering if I should wait until the new model comes out and place the order then. Sounds like the new model has more power and a few additional options. Do you think I will still get the good discount? Is it worth the wait in your opinion? I know there is a new auto trans coming out, but I am going to go with the six speed anyways like yourself. be good to hear what you think cheers mate
