  1. Okay, I'll try to the plugs and coils in the next few weeks, what brands should I look out for in regards to performance and quality? Also, any thoughts on Iridium plugs? I've been informed Fords need a particular type of plug. I don't hit straight from cold start, I should have phrased that better. Once it's warmed up a little the first and maybe second time I push it, the turbo is completely fine. What about the turbo oil filter? could it be that? Thanks again everyone for your advice
  2. Hey all, Hope I can get some guidance on this problem I'm having with my Turbo, when I hit boost it comes on nicely but if I keep it going the turbo starts spluttering/cutting out? Not sure what it is, maybe the oil filter is clogged up with grit or does it sounds like a more serious problem? (2003 BA) I should note that from cold start I have no troubles at all only happens after about 7-10 minutes of driving. The car is in for a new gearbox as mine blew on Saturday so I figure I may aswel get it sorted now while it's at the mechanics, also it's running a 2006 BF motor with 42,000kms if it's relevent? Thanks! Jack
  3. Cheers for all the advice everyone! It ended up being a loose chassis earth, yet another thing I have to fix on this car
  4. hey every, I'm Jack and I have a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo with a 2006 BF turbo motor, I was on fordforums.com but my mate Dave sent me across saying you're all much helpful! Bascially I went out this morning to go to work and when I turned to key to start my car it won't turn over, fire or really do anything. I just has one click then dead silence. But when the ignition is one and I depress the accelerator there is a rattling/loose noise coming from the throttle body near the intake. The battery has 12.42V and all leads seem tight and connected properly. Does anyone have any advice or fixes on this problem or can link me to another thread? P.S expect me around here alot, I've had nothing but trouble with this paerticular car :( Thanks again!
