  3. Hi Guys, Had the ignition switch rear contact plate come off the other day, managed to get it home using tape to "hot wire" the contacts in the ON position. Had no wipers, fan or windows on a rainy night! YAY! Did get lights and indicators though. I have since re assembled the switch using all of the parts including the ball bearings using Vaseline to hold them in place. All the movement functions of the key are as normal but it now has NO power apart from the Radio unit, courtesy lights and the keyless entry. Nothing happens when using the ignition. Alarm light still flashes upon entry and when locked. The audio unit comes up with CODE on the face when the power button is cycled. I have checked all the fuses and replaced the blown 20 Amp fuse mentioned in other posts and checked all the fusible links. I have tried to reset the ECU by connecting the + and - battery terminals while disconnected to discharge the caps but still nothing. Is there any sort of ECU lock out for security after playing with the switch or have I missed something? Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. (The Mrs is really hating on our other ride) Thanks!
  4. I am currently working on mates vehicle with the same sort of problem..... The clutch in this BAXR6T wasn't working and there was just a rusty puddle where the fluid used to be. I found the hard line just out side the box had corroded and let fluid out and moisture in, or he added water to the mix! Considering this, as a precaution I am replacing the slave and master as well as fixing and or replacing the hard line section. Have fun and good luck NickBA-XR6T!
  5. No I dont think so, No weird noise like I have heard from loose hoses before.
  6. No Power after 3500-4000K and only half boost. All good before that though.
  7. Well not all good! Better. Tried disconnecting the battery for half an hour or more, No difference at all, still no power and 3p.s.I. as before.
  8. OK Cool, Will try the battery thing when the missus gets home with the car. She's just putting round in it till thursday. Its seems fine now after I did the IG and ACC relays hasn't cut out since Thanks for your help PSYCHO XRT!!

  10. Yeah seems that way! It seems slightly better but still not good. To Ford thursday next week, See what they say.
  11. Fuel has an oily residue and doesn't evaporate like normal, Like diesel and is a little discoloured /cloudy. Drained tank, cleaned and fresh fuel added along with injector cleaner additive. Cleaned fuel pump pick up filter as well as the housing it sits in. Fuel pressure is at 450kpa when under load @ 3psi. (all its making) So fuel pump is strong and fresh fuel, I think the injectors may have clogged filters? If not got a mate with a code reader to see......
  12. No tune, Stock as, Boost gauge doesn't count! Standard 5ish P.S.I. .9 I think, Just the off the shelf ford plugs. Im checking the fuel pressure/ fuel quality tomorrow or wednesday. Suspecting dirty or water in fuel or possible pump failure under load? Will keep you posted. I think the other half has gone to a dodgy servo...............
  13. Yeah, is really annoying me! New genuine ford coils and seems to ping/ struggle to rev worse? Rechecked everything and now confused....... Maybe time to get a scan tool onto it!
  14. Yes, I have put in the exact plugs that came out of it, That is standard ford iridium denso ones. Doing coils tomorrow. Love rainy days. Fuel Filter made No difference, cut it open was dark brown and didn't look the greatest but not clogged! Hopefully It is sweet cause I just want to drive it and not worry!
  15. Hey people, Pulled the ICC today and checked all the connections. Looks ok just one plug was a bit stiff, grey one drivers side of unit. Made sure it was all refitted properly and locked in! WTF is with that connector? LOL Will check to see if there is a battery Wenier but I don't think so. On another note I changed the plugs the other day and now Im getting half boost (3P.S.I.) and its struggling after 4250-5500ishRPM? Standard FORD plugs used, the same as standard. Slight pinging noise and yeah just going like crap, read a few other things on here, coil packs just a coincidence?? Will probably change the fuel filter as a precaution then think about the coil packs..... Damn Cars! Thanks Again!!!
  16. Hi again, Seemed all fine till yesterday and it is not starting again on the odd occasion. I have noticed that the immobiliser light is flashing though when it fails?? Apart from that it seems fine! Im starting to suspect a bigger Immobiliser Issue? Thoughts on immobiliser faults?

  18. ICC? Whats that? I have checked all the plugs and connectors on the drivers side under the dash. Thanks for your input Bellato!
  19. Ok, Had a go at the stuff that was suggested. Checked the engine room relay/ fuse box and all fuses, connectors and earth points. Then onto the internal fuse box, its fuses and all its connectors /earth points. Found a few dead ants but I don't think that would be an issue. No burns or deformations found either. During this process I found the wipers were not getting any power at all! I found in the owners manual the wipers run off the Accessory power supply. In the internal fuse box I removed the accessory relay, used the window relay that I know is functioning and fitted the relays in the others places. I then had NO working windows! So suspecting the Ex Acc relay I removed it and gave it a bash and hey presto! Windows work. So after all that I believe that the Acc relay is faulty and being the same relay and same age I am assuming the cutting out problem and No start could also be a relay related Issue?? I have since fitted Two new relays and haven't seen any traces of previously mentioned problems. I am hoping that this is the issue and I will keep you posted! Thanks!

  21. G'day All, Have been driving our BF 2 XR6T now for about 6 months with no problems at all. It has 89,000Km, No mods, is well serviced and came from a good home. (Old people) About 2-3 weeks ago it started to not start on the odd occasion with the immobiliser light flashing. Its doing it more often now and this week has started to cut out while driving with no warning and the dash "Christmas Trees". On saturday I drove it and its got no power and boost is non existent. Feels like its a corolla or something and just as quiet! Then yesterday my Fiance was driving it and the wipers came on by themselves? Im just assuming that it is an electrical issue due to the nature of the faults. I have a good mechanical knowledge and Im totally stumped, considering an ECU issue?? Any help or Ideas would be greatly appreciated, Just don't want to go to a dealership as I have had bad experiences with a few. P.S. Love the site! Thanks in advance to anyone that has any suggestions!
