I own a fg xr6 turbo manual ute. Since I owned it, it has made tghis usuall knocking sound when I change gears, slow down, reverse and at various random times at first I thought it may be the gear box or clutch ive taken it to ford they said its the characteristic of the gear box. I blew the tailshaft earlier in the year got it fixed under warranty it stopped for a while but its back. So I still think its the tailshaft but I could be wrong... Has anyone got the same problem or can someone tell me what the problem is cheers:)

I own a fg xr6t ute got 50000kms on the clock been flashed and bov other then that its stock as it has got older ive noticed on idle it runs rough cuts in and out, its not a smooth idle and is worse when it's cold. As for driving if I put the foot down from 60km to bout 120km feels rough as and struggling for power but either side of those speeds it feels fine smooth. Can anyone please tell me what could be causing this or would the best way to find out to put it on a dyno?
