Hey guys, iv just done a upgrade on my system and have been told by my installer I need a bigger battery to supply more juice. I want to know exactly what I should be looking for, why I need it, and what the differences are between your normal and bigger batteries.

Hey Guys, does anyone have photos from the rear of there car of there stainless mufflers/exhaust? my brothers got a stainless system on his phoon and I loveee the look of it from behind, but I dont know if on the XR's you would be able to see it like you can on a phoon. anyone with photos pleaseeee post I want to see before I dont get it and regret it!

hey guys there are similar topics to this previously posted but none have specific answers. a little while ago my car alarm would randomly start going off at any time during the day. sometimes 1 minute after I locked it, sometimes hours later etc etc. even when left unlocked it would start going off. so I replaced the batteries in both my controls and it seemed to fix the problem. that was about 1 year ago. the same problem has started again where it goes off randomly, often in the middle of the night. I replaced both remote control batteries again and its done it once since they have had new batteries. should I buy 2 brand new sets of remotes for my car? (BA 04)

hey guys after a while of trying a few things, ITS STILL TICKING!!! I tried injector cleaner, didnt do anything, put it on my auncles dyno, had a quick look,injectors where fine, replaced the fuel filter & gave it a service,just in case the oil that was put in was too thin, but still its ticking. I dont think it would be anything else then the lifters than im aware of. anyone got thoughts or ideas????

hey guys I found a member selling a lsd diff centre on another ford forum, and he has mentioned as long as they have the M78 centre it will fit. is that standard in a NA or will it need to be purchased? and how much would it cost if needed to be purchased??

I too was thinking about a cam, but from ratters comment it has sort of put me off now. so what would be a better option either 1 or the other WITH a tune in terms of power, a cam or diff gears? im not sure but my understanding is diff gears give better power down low? what sort of ratio would be good? and what would the difference be compared to standard??

hey guys, looking at matching soem bilstein shocks with king springs in about a month or so, what price would I be looking at for the shocks all round? and who can get and supply them around western suburbs,melbourne?

hey mate my car is making a similar sound also, at idle I can hear it after a decent drive, and also on the freeway its I can hear it fairly loud. it sounds like its coming from near the injectors or fuel rail? around that area, could be lifters though, not too sure. did you end up finding out what it was? I think I may have the same problem also. would it have anything to do with the injectors or fuel rail? and would it be bad for the motor to drive it in that condition or is it alright for short term till the bank permits

awesome! cant wait to get them you got any pics xrt of your car?? I want to see how the ssl's sit also so I have an idea when I lower it. how was the ride difference from standard to the ssl's? they handle much better? and stiffer? also, do you have 245's on the front?

hey guys im going to get a set of starcorp fusions, 19's for my XR. I was looking at getting 245's for the front, 275's for the rear. reason for fatter tread on the back is that I like the look of a beefed up rear with fatter tyres. the price difference in having 245's all round instead of 275 rears isnt my issue, my issue is after getting the rims, il be looking to lower the car. just wanted to get some opinions on how the car would be if lowered with 275's in the rear, as I know some guys on here have 285's in the rear. is it worth it? and also suspension wise what would my best options be? compressing standard springs? replacing them? as I wouldnt want to spend ridiculous money just for an inch or 2 lower. dont know a whole lot myself in this area so all help appreciated guys. also if you can post up pics of your cars with fatter tread on the back. thanks.

hey guys got into a smash today, older man hit me in rear passenger quarter panel. quarter panel and bumper are smashed, rim took most of the impact, the wheel alignment was bent so presuming the rear sway bar, possibly axle is bent/damaged. im insured with aami so I wanted to ask, im pretty sure they have there own set of accredited panel beaters & mechanics for there insurance jobs, does anyone know of any, and if so, ones that are good and wont make a mess of it? I really feel uncomfortable letting anyone else do my car, as my brother in law is a panel beater, and my uncle and cousins mechanics :( its a really crap feeling not being able to get them to fix it.

hey guys im looking to get a ba gt rear bar as my xr bumper has been hit and damaged for a while. iv looked through a few sites on the net, oz car parts,blits body kits and awc websites. they all have ba gt bumpers, are these fibreglass?? what should I be looking out for?? will these fit and are good quality? does anyone know anywhere else I could get one from, apart from fentree gully, as there prices are too much. any help appreciated. thanks

(also never really seen a cab driver thrash them?) and if anything was to go wrong, it wouldnt be major things on the motor? obviously depending on how its been looked after. basically wanted some opinions on the issue, if it would be worth it for 3 grand to buy and make over, possibly new paint and just clean up the issues the owner said, which arnt major, as the car is on gas, $3000 for a 2003 is fairly cheap. the owner also said all taxi equipment would be removed and only the taxi stickers would need to be taken off. but yeah like I said please provide as much information as you can on this topic as im looking for answers and opinions. thanks boys

hi guys I currently have a 04 xr6 NA with extractors and cat back exhaust. soon to come is a high flow cat, typhoon cai with K&N panel filter, and underdrive pulley. I also had in mind about a custome tune, probably at HPF. I wanted to get some opinions though, I definitely am looking for more power in my car, otherwise I wouldnt be doing the above mods, but if I got a custome tune, how would that affect the driveability of the car and also the petrol side of things? I dont want to get a tune where it will be achieving great power, but will start damaging things and causing problems, as it is my daily, and only car. would the power be worth the price for the custome tune? (im guessing clost to $1000, correct me if im wrong) also 1 more thing, would bigger injectors increase power? noticeable power? would it be worth it? and would it be better to get a bigger fuel pump when replacing the injectors?

hey guys I currently have hitech extractors with a xr8 cat back exhaust ( I believe its twin 2 1/2 inch?) on my NA ba xr6. from reading some of the topics on here I understand that pacemakers are the best suited for the fords, I wanted to find out if it would be worth swapping the hitechs for the pacemakers?? (in terms of performance) or would it be better to upgrade the cat back system to something more?? what cat back should I go for if this is the better option? any help is appreciated.

03XR6T what is the finish on your rims? is it the same finish as SEVENTYTWO ?
