  5. As title just wondering if anyone seen this design before. As just bought one too try. Only going too run 1 pump for now and then go too two pumps when I go built motor only chassing 330ish kw on one pump so should be fine 044pump? also as im going too run new fuel lines both return and main. Should I use just efi hose or braided lines.? and should I buy earl fitting to suit threads on standard filter or go different sort of filter. anyone know what size and thread type fittings I would need to screw fuel lines into fuel rail and also tank ends? and for wiring I just pick up a pink wire anyone say exactly where too tap into it?. And for power just goign straight into boot too my battery for + and - sorry if this is dumb post but want to learn and do stuff too my car cheers micheal. its a ba mk2 sadan if that makes a difference
  6. Hi guys new too the xr6 turbo world but all ready love them. I am at the stage of needing a tune thanks to a collapsed cat and old caps box. So my choices are capa vcm or hp. No there isn't many tuner that will do xr6 turbo and looking at around 1000 to 1500 to get my car tuned. Had decided on a tuner and he said either use hp or capa Xcal 3. And a mare is selling a capaxcal3 box with 2 custom tunes by spiro but they are 2 suit his car and he want 800 for the box. One tune is16psi the other is 20. His car has virtually same mods except exhaust and cooler bit different. He made 350 kw which is what mine used 2 have. My cars got 2.5 in exhaust with supercat muffler intercooler 60 lb injectors actuator valve springs air box where battery was and shorted piping. Will have 3 in piping and new cooler soon. And hopefully surge tank. So would I be better off getting the Xcal and getting tuner to touch up tunes for my ba mk2 manual or go vcm or hp. Also at a cost of 150hr long would it take to touch tune up. And will a ba holed this power on the bottom end and be reliable. Cheers micheal Any other mods or idea feel free 2 comment
  7. hey guys I just bought a set of brembo 4pot front and single pot rears off ebay and just wondering if anyone has fitted these to a ba mk2 and know what needs to be done. I have been told them bolt straight up so that cool. just wondering if I can use old brake line's or weather I would need longer/short ones. Any info at all would be great cheers micheal
  8. hey guys just wondering if ba typhoon brakes would be a cheap upgrade on the front on my ba mk2 xr6 turbo. And has anyone done this and know if they will bolt straight up. Also if I only fitted front rotors would this affect my abs/ brakes?
  9. lol another thing I forgot has valve springs apparently but canot comfirm car used 2 make 347rwkw b4 I got it but dunno. DO have a dyno sheet with cars rego and c&v name on it so dont doupt it made it but whats been changes since is anyone guess. anyone able to tell me if I post a pic of dump pipe if its standard or not? new to turbos and xr6 sorry for so many questions.
  10. okay so I dont mind spending bit of money on getting my car tuned as its daily driven and hoping for 300 to 350rwkw. anyone recommened what tune / flash tuner I should use? I talked to the tuner seem to be top bloke but he asked weather I wanted to use vcm suite or excal flash 3 tuner I think it was sorry in advance if dumb post had a look at alot of pages before posting but am compleatly lost as to what tune would best suit my car also if it changes anything car will have 60lb inj front mount gutted cat and full 2.5 exhaust with single muffler box surge tank and bosch pump home made intake box where battery was 12psi actuator maybe dump pipe if needed for that sort of power. and if anyone knows or can recommend althing else needed 2 make this power safe please help my out cheers micheal
  11. hey just wondering if there is there anyway 2 tell if a turbo have been ported without taking it off? as I have a ba mk2 that used 2 make 350rwkw. but I have just bought the car and the tune has been wiped and had blocked cat. So far I have worked out it has 12psi actuator 60lb injectors. Wanna fix intercooler, gut catt and get boost back up around 15psi cheers micheal sorry in advance for proply dump post lol
  12. do the process west surge tank come with wiring loom ? if so im keen
  13. got a small amount of shaft play very little though
  14. yeah I was just pissed I payed 110 for them 2 cheak car then they say my black 60lb injectors are standard blue ones
  15. have re gaped them to .75 I think it was recommended on here stock plugs. still only getting 8 to 10spi boost could cat cause this?
  16. yeah cheers I cheaked all pipe seems fine. So the problem started when I changed the plugs and didnt gap. Them so it started backfiring high in the rev range and high boost. And so I chucked the flash tuner in and tuned it 2 low boost as had 2 drive it 4 few days. So now my question is weather when I re flashed tuned it to the high boost setting maybe it was a custom tune and I wiped it by using the flash tuner? as it ran 15psi and had dyno sheet in car 4 346rwkw. Ive only had the car a few weeks so dunno what tune or weather u could wipe a tune its the early flah tunen that they dont use anymore. did find a few metal filing in the exhaust tip but turbo still spool makes 8 to 10psi fine and sounds normal so dunno. And 2 top it off took it 2 a mechanic shop and asked then 2 cheak air fuel ratio and see and well let just say 4 a recommended tuning place. All they wanted to do was rip me as I am only 21 and dont really know much bout xr6 turbos. He told me I needed new cooler and injectors before I did anything as injectors were standard blue ones. (they will fix new ones for 1000dollars). But the one in car are black and doing google search of injectors they come up as 60lb injectors so dont really wanna use them but noone else has much to do with xr6 in tassie. Also he told me it was running lean coming onto boost at 12.5 to 1 ?
  17. I dunoo if anyone can help but lost 7 psi after backfire and now the car holds 8 psi fine but wont boost to 15psi
