  6. I've seriously considered flying over for the day, just having to organise finance and stuff befoe I go and getting it finalised while I'm there would be a pain. Mind you, things change so fast. I'm looking at buying late January (new model just released so more trade-ins + car benig 'older' + end of month + runout models)

  8. First post so please take it easy on me I've been reading these forums on and off for the past couple of years, and I've recently got the green light to get a T. We're looking at a few slightly used cars and am wondering what are some of the pitfalls are? Only real requirement is that's it's manual and can be a Mk1 or Mk2. I've read a few vague references to clutch problems, brake shuddering, clunks etc - so I was wondering what should I look out for? Is there a problem with a series up until a particular date? I would love to hear about other's experiences with their Ts and some of the pitfalls to avoid
