ok sweet thanks- ill bring all these issues up with him. The sound doesnt seem to get any louder or softer when I turn up and down volumn, or when I accelerate. When I have everything turned down and the car turned off the hissing is still there. I notice it when I change a track on a CD as well when its turned down. Almost like the you can hear it moving to the next track on the CD and she hiss crackles a bit. Once ive got it cranked obviously I dont get the sound (well most prolly cant hear it)- but I dont want to have to have it turned up all the time not too hear it.

Hi guys, Last week I got a stereo installed in my FG ute. - Alpine F300 amp - 12" Slimline kicker sub - 6" JL Audio speakers in front Im running these off the stock ICC Headunit, and have a hissing sound coming from front left speaker. Installer assures me everything is grounded correctly and maybe an issue with factory head unit. The amp is just "amplifying" the hiss which might have always been there. He has another FG install in a few weeks and will let me know how he goes, but has anyone else come across this or heard about it? Thanks

hey mate, picked up my ute on tuesday- I was told to drive it like I normally would. The engine then learns to cope with how much pressure you put it under and will make a crisper engine. that's what I was told- whatever truth is in it im not sure, but have been giving mine regular squirts. Its just so darn hard not to!

Hey guys- wondering what your opinio would be on wheels for my FG XR6t ute. Colour is Breeze as you can see- so im thinking maybe even white wheels? or a nice set of chromes? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Well finally took some pics- not the best lighting etc but ill get some better ones done soon, took delivery on tuesday and havent been out of it much since.

Picked up my XR6T ute yesterday- been driving it as much as I can! love it!! traction control gets a workout. will get some pics up soon!

Ok cool thanks Benny, As I know absolutely nothing about lowering do you reckon I will get away with just changing the springs? or is there more involved with shocks- rubbers etc??

Im gettin the ute- so looks like its 17's. Doesnt bother me cause down the road ill upgrading but just annoying that was one of his selling points he used a few times. Ill see what I can do about a SIDO- its hard enough getting him too ring me back let alone any information! will see how I go- thanks guys

Since we are tellin fantastic dealer stories I may as well drop mine. When takin the turbo for a test drive was told the car comes with 18" wheels stock, and that was somethin he said a few times and silly me beleived him. Read the cataloge in more detail after I signed and suprise suprise its comes with 17's. Rang him and said what are you gonna do to sort this out- he even had to get back to me to double check what actually came on them and his excuse was he had never sold one before and cant do anything about it. If he did he would loose his job probably- oh boo hoo ill get the tissues. When I signed I was told 6 weeks, and that was about 2 months ago now if not longer and I still have to wait another 2 weeks. He reckons delivery on 6th and I should have it 10th of September?? so nearly 3 months after I signed. Dad keeps tellin me maybe someone walked in with cash and got the car? do they do this kinda thing- or is dad just stirring the freakin pot. If I can get a SIDO ( I assume from dealer) you reckon you would be able to check Senna? or can you do it with just a name Cheers

Hey guys, I know absolutely nothing about lowering and suspension etc so im lookin for some tips I have a FG XR6T on order and am looking to lower it as soon as I get it. Does anyone know if this screws up the warranty?? Are king springs making springs for the FG yet? Looks like SL's in the front and SSL's in the rear are the way to go from all the other posts- is this still legal height and wont give me too many problems with speed bumps and driveways? Just putting in springs is the way to go without having to change the springs as well?? And lastly a reliable suspension shop in brisbane- I dont mind paying a bit extra for a job I know will be done right. Thanks guys- sorry if these have been answered b4, I looked through 15 pages and couldnt see too much.

Has anyone seen the Breeze colour in the new FG's?? I asked the salesman if they were using the same pallet as the BF's and the Rip curl series. He said yeah it is and as we know its a greenish aqua I suppose u would call it. But the pics ive seen of the new FG after I placed my order for a FG xr6t ute in breeze with plates 90BLN (Green Goblin???)- the pics ive seen look like its a blue colour?? and Blue Goblin doesnt sound right does it Anyone seen a new FG in breeze?? please say it looked greenish

wicked guys thanks for that- I had heard if you run it in hard you get more outta your enigine in the long run. Any specific type of oil I should be using for the 500k change??

Ok guys- These might seem pretty basic questions or advice but ive never owned a turbo b4 or a ford. Signed up for the FG XR6T ute last friday but gotta wait 6 weeks for delivery. Havent seen anyone else order it in breeze yet so lets hope that's not my first mistake. But firstly I would like to know if running in the car for the first 1000k's is a good idea or in the current day we can just get in and give it a bootfull from the get go?? Is there any little maintenance things I should be checking weekly to ensure I get the best outta my ute?? I know its a pretty broad question but need as much help as I can get :fear (5): Joined this site about a week ago and have been reading religiously most nights to try and get as many hints and tips as I can. As I said first ever turbo and first ever so any hints and tips you guys can chuck my way would be greatly appreciated.

Nah mate for private use- and didnt even have to sleep with anyone. It was just after end of financial year as well so they will come down. My mate has just bought a ranger from them so I dunno if that had something to do with it.

Well I just signed for my FG XR6T ute today- breeze 6spd manual- $37990 drive away. Just stock though
