  1. I have pirelli p zero (nero) tyres on my street rims in a 19 and I agree they are amazing, however I stated that I am using P zero (corsa) which is a semi slick tyre on my track rims which I dont rate after coming off the toyo 888's
  2. Hi Guys, I have read all the other posts in regard to these understeering BA XR utes. There is some very knowledgeable individuals on this topic so I thought I would post my personal issues with my vehicle to receive some guidance. The car is a 2004 BA XR8 ute (turbo charged) making 520RWHP. I do sprints at QR and have had the suspension recently upgraded. Kym down at Mermaid suspension did my work and I went for 850LB front springs FG HD rear springs and revalved bilstein shockies all round. All the bushes in the front end have been replaced and upgraded. I had a 30mm front sway bar fitted prior to the the suspension upgrade. Prior to having the suspension upgraded I was running 1:01 on the sprint configuration. Since the upgrade I can only manage a 1:03 very disappointing. Other changes I made since the previous sessions. I was running toyo 888's until they went off. The new tyres I purchased to replace those toyo's where pirelli p zero corsas off ebay for $150ea. They are garbage if anyone is considering to give them a go. The understeer I was getting on the weekend was terrible. My thoughts are adjusting as much neg camber as possible and reducing the front bar back to 27mm adjustable. I was considering getting a bar at the rear however Kym and the previous info has made me reconsider. I was also considering going to a full stick at the front to aid turn in and cycle the pirelli's through the rear. I will list the alignment values for you really switched on guys to look at; Total toe 3.2mm LH RH Camber: -1.16 -1.62 Caster: 7.30 6.45 Any advice or guidance would be appreciated. Cheers
  3. Hi fella's, I have a BA XR8T ute making 373RWKW. I have upgraded the front brakes to Brembo 4 pot with DBA 5000 wiper slotted rotors with the factory Brembo pads. I track the car and feel comforable with the brakes however I am considering doing the rears as well for improved performance and looks. The rear brakes are standard single pot 303mm rotors. Has anyone got any advise or guidance in upgrading the rears? I am considering the following options; 1. Purchasing a rear kit off FTG for $650. New BF calipers, slotted RDA rotor's and factory pads. (Does slotted RDA looks the same as slotted DBA). 2. Purchasing a set of secondhand BF rear calipers, some new DBA 4000 rotors and a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads. I also want to paint the rear calipers to match the Brembos. Can anyone recommend the best way/place in Brisbane to color match the Brembo's. The latest advise I got from a performance brake shop in Melbourne was that upgrading the rears was a waste of money in the BA-BF range due to the way the ABS works and all brake bias goes to the front of the vehicle. Can anyone shed some light on these comments. Thanks in advance for any advise.

    Bf Rear Brakes?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I have recently fitted a set of brembo 4 pots to the front with DBA 5000 rotors. I am tossing up whether it is owrth upgrading the BA rear as they are in good nic. Did you find a big increase in braking performance when you upgraded the rears? Where they RDA slotted 328mm rotors, with genuine ford pads? Are they single piston or twin? Which BF model would these brake come from. Thanks for your help.

    Bf Rear Brakes?

Has anyone got any feedback on the bf 328mm rear brake conversion that FTG are doing for $650?
  6. Hi mate, How much? What size rotors are on the rear of a Super Pursuit ute?
  7. Have plans to do runs with video camera however nothing at the moment. Unbelieveable sound has a screamer pipe. When that gate opens sound is undiscribable. Will post when I get around to it.
  8. Hi Lads, I have fitted up the brembo's up front. Amazziiinnngggg! The problem know is I have to run spacers unfortunatley. I am getting a set machined up at the up at the moment as I am running a 8mm aftermarket set which is way to thick. I can get the spacer down to 4mm which will give me a couple of mm between the caliper and the rims. Anyway thinking of upgrading the front brakes and running aftermarket rims, be aware that most rims will not clear brembo / ap / alcon brake setup's. Very easy to get caught out. I am still unsure which way to go on the rear. I thinking maybe second hand BF calipers, 328mm DBA 4000 rotors and a set of Ferodo Formula DS 2500 pads. Is there anyone running this setup? Mate would love to share footage and pics of the car, however not sure how to use this program I have some pics I will attempt to attach but no footage. I will see how I go.
  9. Yes mate XR8T, running a low mount Garret 35/40 set to 7PSI
  10. Hi all, I have a XR8T ute making 373RWKW and made the overdue descission to upgrade the brakes. I have just purchased a front set of 4 pot brembo's and DBA 5000 slotted rotors. My questions are; 1. They came with rubber hoses not braided stainless steel lines. Is it worth upgrading the lines and what are the costs. 2. What is the best option for the rear brakes. Would the best and most cost effective option be to keep the standard calliper and upgrade the disc and go for maybe a EBC greenstuff pad? Disc?....... Can anyone provide any information on DIY brake upgrades on the BA. Any suggestions or assistance will be appriecated.
