  1. Same as your car - I've worked out what the minimum warm up time is, 30 seconds is required before I can engage reverse. Missus reckons she warmed the car up for 5 minutes.....mmmm. So knowing yours does it too - makes me happy. Thanks.

What is the problem? Is it a sequential system or vapour system? What's the engine?
  3. Thanks - yes, I've worked it out now. Never noticed it in nearly 4 years. Sorted.
  4. The idle isn't really the issue, should have put in a different heading. The having to warm the car up is the issue. If car isn't warmed up, when reverse (not sure about forward gear) car splutters and coughs badly, shouldn't do this. Car once warmed goes well, power drop not noticed, less effort to overtake etc. Thanks.
  5. Boys, I've installed a F6 Intercooler and ProcessWest Under Battery Pipe on my BA XR6T 12/02 last week. She is stock, with F6 CAI and K&N. When it's started the idle shoots up to 2kapprox, then drops to say 1,500ish then drops once car is warmed up. Not particuarly concerned with this. - But if I don't let her warm up say 5 minutes, when I put into reverse, she coughs and splutters badly, need to either put back into park and let warm up or according to the Missus, turn car off and start again and let warm up. Any thoughts why car needs to be warmed up, generally I have warmed car up some, depending on outside temp and or time permitted. I wonder if winter is adding to the problem, but assume it's still going to be there in summer? Any thoughts or experiences welcomed. dm
  6. Install it. I had mine on car from 60k till extended warranty ran out at 160k - not an issue. I had car back every 3 months for warranty work and servicing and not an issue.
