  1. Zap, When purchased, the flashbox arrives with the 3 tunes in slots 1,2 and 3. The F slot is empty. The first time you flash your car takes almost twice as long as any subsequent flash. This is due to the upload of your own factory settings (and VIN) into the flashbox. Hope this makes sense.

    Quicktune

The quicktune software won't have anywhere near the tuning capabilities the professionals will have. Not at leatst in this country. It will be handy though, for changing injector sizes etc., as well as transferring different tunes to/from the flashbox.

    Quicktune

I haven't heard anything additional on the quicktune product for a while, so could you please let us know: - When the cables will be available for purchase. - A listing of the paramaters which can be changed by the user. - Price Thanks
  4. Sorry xrturb, My understanding is different. As far as I'm aware, the flashbox will only upload what's in the car when the "F" slot is empty. Therefore, it does not look for updates. I think the only way around this is to have the F slot cleared (by CAPA??) and you can only do this 5 times before the flashbox takes a trip overseas. CAPA, Martin, please correct me if I have misunderstood.
  5. Show off.
  6. I've seen that boost curve on a number of standard cars, including mine.
  7. PSIXR6, Let us know what results you get. I have the Eugene injectors ready to go but waiting to source and intercooler before the custom edit.
  8. Brad, I've had the car on a dyno with the original and updated tunes in. Based on what I've seen, the updated tune: - Slightly reduces the timing retardation for intake charge increases. - Brings boost back up from 8PSI at the top end after the AFR are brought back to .82 lambda. Any others changes Martin?

    Welcome

    Welcome aboard CAPA!
  10. I think most people with edit have found that the TC gets the sh1ts trying control traction and basically switches itself off. Mine a manual and I get this, particularly in the wet.
  11. Nice power JB, I would say that the limit for the stock cooler is significantly less in Qld, where the ambient temps are still around 30c during the day. I can really feel the difference between night and day driving.
  12. Edit - $1300 Injectors + Adaptors - $650 Custom tune - $300 With those mods you should be around 250 to 265 RWKW. An intercooler would also be a worthwhile investment. Not saying that's the path I wouldn't choose (cos I would and will), but honestly though... who is doing a custom tune for $300? certainly no one in Vic methinks!? Can't comment for Victorian tuners, but Power Torque in Brisbane charge $300 for the custom tune. Simmo, The 10 PSI map on mine produced 265RWKW on a dynologic dyno and 255RWKW on a dyno dynamics dyno. The car runs standard injectors and standard intercooler. Both runs were done on hot, humid Qld days. Injectors will add a safety margin for cooler weather and more power. An intercooler will give you consistent performance, run after run.
  13. JB, It may be worthwhile talking to Liontamer as he has the new PWR intercooler fitted to his car. From memory, there's an earlier thread on this in which he gives some feedback on the unit which included: - Good airflow from the new unit - Fits into existing factory mounts - The only modification required is a slight reduction in the length of one of the factory hoses. He also posted a couple of pictures. Cheers
  14. Edit - $1300 Injectors + Adaptors - $650 Custom tune - $300 With those mods you should be around 250 to 265 RWKW. An intercooler would also be a worthwhile investment.
  15. Could not have said it any better than this. Keep on keeping on.
  16. I believe there are a number of guys looking for new coolers now, particularly coolers which will fit into the standard plumbing. Perhaps a group buy might bring the cost down a little more for all of us.
  17. so you was using 95 then changed to 98 and done the edit or you had 95 done the edit then changed to 98 and notice the diffrence when you !!!??? please help I want to do this but need some positive feed back The 10 PSI tune requires 98 RON to run correctly. Personally, I never put anything less than 98 RON in the car, even when it was stock.
  18. You're welcome Joel, Sharing info is what this forum should be all about.
  19. Not pretty Jeff. Let us know if you finds something stronger than the standard components.
  20. Nice one Global! Just thow in the 10 PSI tune. You'll never want to go back to the 8.
  21. I leke the clean look. Harvestgreen, Nice heartogram. Don't know of 2 many other people in this country who know the band.
  22. Finally, here's a picture of Craig at work. The night we went to Kittens the joint was packed with a line up outside. You could understand why once you got in. Great atmosphere and beautiful girls everywhere. Not a single fugly in the place. It's a tough life eh Craig? Driving a 11 second car and running/owning a strip club. Thanks guys for making our trip to the Grand Prix a special one! Cheers
  23. Here's Dynowog after pushing Rumble up the queue a few times and 3 hours sleep the night before. Warning, open at you own risk.
  24. What a great long weekend in Melbourne! The hospitality shown to us whilst down there was nothing short of amazing. Thanks again to Dynowog and Geea for a fantastic night out. As jetute mentioned, I have a few photo's. Here's one of craig standing in the queue. The car looks as good in real life as in the pictures I've seen on this site. But, the thing goes even better than it looks.
  25. Thanks Brad. I've already swapped over.
