He got it its 10,000k service at Ultratune on the weekend and they found that the factory spring chocks hadn't been removed in the pre-delivery... how's that for useless? I told him it was riding a bit hard...

As for the figher jet!! One of the engineers here has a brother who is in the Airforce. He flies out of Amberly and does a flyover every now and again just to stir everyone up. Usually he tells us approximately when he will be coming over and does a big low pass right over the office!! Man, so awesome. I wanna be a fighter pilot

But I can assure you the engineers here seem to give the cable handlers plenty to do I was out at Ensham last thursday actually, lookin at some new software you guys are using. It was very exciting. I worked there on my Christmas holidays once, back during Uni. I saw old Stork is still doing survey out there, the mad bastard. I get to Emerald a bit! I ordered my turbo through those muppets at Newhaven ford... was supposed to be here last week... Have to catch up for a couple of quiet ones!!

Hey in regards to the shell fuel thing, I got told the same for my dirtbike. I run premium unleaded in it. The Shell optimax is apparently heavier (or denser) than other normal premium unleaded fuels, and apparently doesnt atomise properly in a carbureted engine. Apaprently also this is not a problem in a fuel injected engine as it doesnt have jets or anything. Dont take this as gospel, just something I picked up in my travels

Hey mate sorry for the late reply. The place I have been talking to is Collinsville performance, which I thought was in Rocky, but then when I looked it up, they are in Mackay :S Typical!! David seems to know his stuff up there though! I suggest you swing him an email, he has been pretty prompt with answering my questions! Yeah I was looking through the forums at some of Mals products and workmanship and it looks like a pretty professional outfit. I'll probably look at doing that along with a set of injectors to push up to the 300kw mark. Sounds like the mal wood clutch has a good feel too which is important. Man this is all great advice Thanks all! I will post some pics of the new beastie next week after I pick her up (hopefully...)

Yeah, I had heard something along those lines. Whats the best way to get the clutch up to speed to handle approx. 300kw? Probably dont need to go overboard as I dont think ill go much past this power level...

Hehe I like that advice better Bah who needs a warranty anyway hey! Yeah I went with the T56. I used to have an auto soarer and it made me utterly insane. I would never own an auto again after that, even one as good as the ZF. I also rekon its way more awesome to drive a manual turbo, nice to hear the thing as you change gears I think mods will be minimal really as I need this thing to be reliable to drive me from the coalfields back to the sunshine coast relatively regularly (around 750ks) I'm thinking: - FPV CAI - K&N filter - High flow cat and center muffler removal - Bigger intercooler (so damn hot out here) - Flash box and custom tune I figure that should be good for around 300kw at the boots, which should be plenty without getting me in too much trouble with ford. You guru's rekon that sounds reasonable? I have already ordered the Tripod and xforce guages to keep an eye on things

Hell yeah you read my mind man! The orange looks sweet with some black highlights. The brand new XR comes with 18" rims with some black on them already, they dont look half bad... but we shall see how long it takes to get the 19"-20" bug... Also they have some black bits on the front spoiler, side skirts and arse end too. At least visual stuff wont void warranty!

Man! They look unreal. I like the rims with lots of open space like that, looks hot. Would look wicked if you could get some black colour coding in there too, like the little thinner bits on the spokes in black :D If you dont mind me askin' what was the hip pocket damage?

Yeah I kinda dabbled in it a bit with the soarer, but the problem was at the end of the day it was still a dunged out old POS car. And I was at university at the time, so not much cash. At least now I have a good income I can do some good mods and have a nice car Feel free to make suggestions though. I am in a quandary about putting some black cobra stripes on it to break up the 'Taxi' appearance of the orange.. not sure how it will go though....

However Joey is a bit of a lame username (I was at work and my brain was running on instant coffee and fundraiser chocolates at the time) Maybe I will assume this said Shock persona? Anyhoo, yes it has been a long wait. It should be here by the 23rd. I have been waiting a month and a half already, so whats another 10 days eh! My last turbo car was a 1988 Toyota Soarer.... so it should be interesting to have a REAL sports car eh! Perhaps one that doesnt have its weight in gremlins... hehe! So far I have bought the x-force guages and tripod from the forum already, should be here this week. After payday the flash tuner will be on its way (also from this site). All I need now is an FPV CAI and a filter and she should be apples. Oh and I think as its Octane I'm gonna need some nice big black cobra stripes up the middle, what you rekon?!
