  4. the little torx screws are a 5.5 mm torx screw try and hide the crossovers in the cavity towards the back of the door make sure the crossovers are wrapped in plastic and face the wire down so water doesnt work its way into the bag last time I looked there was a styrafoam like block a the back of the door trim I carved a a small section out and with the snug fit the crossover was held in tight.
  5. the head is a good unit if you got it for the right price.I would if it were my car try and find a good 5x7 to go back in rather than screw mdf spacers to my pride and joy. if you are going to run the speakers off the head unit you will find your left front and left and right rear speakers in the left hand kick panel which will be a set of orange ,blue &pink then run your powers over to the phone kit plug up under the right hand side of the dash (blue plug) and then your right hand side speaker in the right kick panel which is a set of greys .remember if you are unsure ask a shop cause airbags dont tickle and your unit should look like this
  6. very eay to fit. the box is only 1 of a couple ive built. I just finished putting 1 together for a friend it is a 15" soundstream xxx bone crusher with a max bust rating of 20,000 watts music power as stated on their specs. it weighs about 45 kilo and the fiberglass has been strong as an ox so far.with mdf I generally use 18mm to inch thick liquid nails and pilot drill with 1/8 drill bit then use wood screws so the wood doesnt split. type r 12 will really punish any wooden box so build it tough.also the type r's will crank in a fiberglass box used a lot of alpines and always been right on the money
  7. its just under 1.9 cu ft for the pair its a common chamber box and works really well. also it does depend on the amount of amplifier power and efficency of the drivers as well as to what the internal box volume works out to be .the subs are 10" dual voice coil subs with 300 rms input as a pair give about 1000watts music power
  8. has any body approached fords workshop and seen if the can remove the wrinkle coat finish from the splitter that cmay have caused this blade failure before warranty has finished.my car has only done 12,000 k's and I didnt want to go pulling it appart incase of voided warranty
