The result was cars tailgating and honking their horns! in my opinion that isnt really road rage and I think I would be honking my horn as well if I came along either one of these drivers!! They also put most peoples anger to the stresses of their jobs etc. I can't say I really agree with that either, sometimes ill go out all happy and in a good mood to only have that chaged by some moron on the road that cant drive at a exceptable speed or even worse a moving road block(two cars travelling side by side both at the same speed! They(today tonight) want drivers to be more tollerant so that road rage is reduced! I on the other hand want people fined for these annoying driving charactoristics some people adopt! There is to much attention in fining people speeding and not enough attention for people driving too slow or not keeping left. If people kept left and didnt drive too slow im sure road rage would be reduced. People get impatient for a reason thus leading them to speed or road rage!my 2c. I don't get any where near as agro over copping every red light along Parramatta Road as I do over some imbecile who drives at a ridiculously low speed blocking the right lane on freeways, or the one who changes lanes without indicating or even taking a glance to see if another car could possibly be sharing the road with him/her Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/9751-road-rage/#findComment-103614 Share on other sites

So much anger on the road could be avoided if people just used their mirrors and were courteous enough to get out of the way of other drivers. But heaps of people seem to have the opinion that whoever's behind them should stay there. Sometimes I wish I had a big bull-bar on the front of my car so that I could just push other cars out of the way. :D Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/9751-road-rage/#findComment-103622 Share on other sites

Guest Scootre Guests Posted 21/03/04 07:56 AM Share Posted 21/03/04 07:56 AM Yeah it's a hard call isn't it?Do the Police actually stop people from driving too slow - or driving in the right lane and stopping people overtaking etc?I've never heard of any cases. You see signs along the freeway saying keep left unless overtaking and I know there's a law, but is it ever enforced? Police guys here - do you guys ever have to stop people for these things? When I spoke to her I asked her why she was driving slow and she told me that she was uncomfortable with driving at the speed limit and she thought she was being safe by sitting on 80 instead of 100.So I gave her the ticket. She took it to Court. I lost.On the basis that the 100 k speed limit is only that...a limit. There is no obligation to drive at that speed. My argument was that she was doing something that a 'prudent and reasonable person wouldn't do' (Driving too slow and holding up the traffic)The matter was proved (prima facie) but dismissed. I put in a "Question of Fitness" to the RTA for her to hold a license. This was upheld and her license was removed. So there you go kiddies...the Judiciary don't have a clue what goes on out on the road and these 'Leftist Social Worker Commies' believe everyone has a right to a license. There is another reason for the focus on speed and that is because it is easy. I believe that Police do get lazy and do become radar reliant. I know I'm not and I concentrate on general traffic stuff but that stuff also makes you a target of complaints and gets a lot of Court time. That doesn't bother me but I can understand why some people only write out speeding tickets.
