Result being the stock stick won't fit on the ripshifter. It says in the install instructions that the ripshifter is compatible with the stock stick and knob but that doesn't seem to be the case. I just wanted to make sure that there's nothing stupid that I'm missing or anything? As I see it now. I'm left with 2 options;1- drill the thread out so I can fit the stock stick on.2- buy a hurst short stick from the states and put that on instead.I would have happily done option 2 but I sort of want to keep the stock shifter and not molester the interior of my car and also it will take at least a couple of weeks to ship from the states. And I have a short patience! HahaJust wanted to ask to see if anyone else came across this issue as I know many of you use ripshifters, hence why I bought one, everyone raves about them. So I found it strange that I hadn't heard of this happening to anyone else. For now I just have the gear surround out of my car and the stock shifter rod bolted upside down onto the ripshifter (quick fix) makes it drivable at least.Apart from that the shifter is unreal and feels 100x better than the stock one, even with my bodgey stick (which is actually solid as a rock) haha. Here's afew pics from the afternoon Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/87690-ripshifter/ Share on other sites

Everyone was raving about the rip so I'm surprised I didn't hear of this happening before.Anyway, I got it sorted now. Ended up changing the stock knob and ordered a 5" hurst short stick. And a TWM A6 leopard gear knob. So should be good now!
