Replacing Stock Ba Intercooler With Aftermarket Direct Replacement Eba

Hey guys,

Ive done afew searches but cant really find anything similar to my question.

My question is, I have a completely stock (centre muffler removed) 5 speed ba xr6t, and I want to purchase an ebay monza cooler that fits directly on to the stock setup. Will I need a tune after doing this, or will this be okay since my car is completely stock?

Will be fine without a tune but its always recommended to get it checked on a dyno

Overboost lean out ad blown engine but highly unlikely

I see, so in conclusion, the risk is very low and even if I do give the car abit, it still should be okay regardless of cold/hot days etc?

Well put it this way , I did it I dragged it and flogged it everywhere else, it was fine, factory pcm has enough room to compensate easily BUT its still recommended to check on the dyno

The Monza will be fine to slap straight on as it doesn't work much more efficiently than the stocker. It'll be fine for standard boost.

It's a difference in pressure drop when swapping coolers that's the danger. Factory ecu can only do do much to control boost if new cooler works more efficiently.

It should be ok. But as mentioned, get it on a dyno for a check.
