If I hold it on, sometimes it stays on, but mostly turns off. I have had a quote to fix and been quoted $700+ for a second had refit through a mechanic who does them, and $1000+ from Ford.... Is this right or am I being ripped off..What other options do I have?

Its just pushing the barrel surround in and peening the sleeve. Got 3 years outta mine. Just need 3 hands to do it.
