Hi Guys

My BA ignition turns the car on, but just rotates back to the start postion. If I hold it on, sometimes it stays on, but mostly turns off. I have had a quote to fix and been quoted $700+ for a second had refit through a mechanic who does them, and $1000+ from Ford.... Is this right or am I being ripped off..

What other options do I have?

There is a thread on here somewhere how to fix it. Done mine twice. Its just pushing the barrel surround in and peening the sleeve. Got 3 years outta mine.

Just need 3 hands to do it.

every single person I've spoken to says new column in regards to ignition problems, as its all built as one piece so nothing can be replaced indivudually., they changed their ways on the bf though. ford charge over 2k installed, goto a wrecker and get one for 150-200.

I cant find the other discussions on it here... does anyone know of a List of instructions, step by step.. I have nevr pulled a lock or steering colmn apart before.. But would like to try it with some sound direction and what too look out for advice..
