Guys,

Some thoughts on the "Premium Sound" system in my 50 th Anniversary Ute.

Right from the start I was extremely underwhelmed by the sound system so I changed the front door speakers to a set of Morel splits and added a 4 channel amp.

-Result was an improvement although not a huge amount-I had a humming sound and music sounded "muddy"

-Next step was to replace the rears with more Morels and add a Cadence slim line sub

-Result was a vast improvement-humming all but gone.

It turns out the rear speakers where stuffed-Now this is in a 10 month old Ute I ve had from new and I dont drive the stereo all that hard.

Moral of the story is if your gonna update your stereo it certainly pays to update all speakers-even the rears behind the seats in a ute!

All up cost me about $1000 installed and it is money well spent.

Scott

I chucked 2 10" slim subs in the back of mine - much better.

The spits / door speakers aren't too bad - Just lacks all bass from the rear. Much better now - set me back about $220.

Should not be given the title: "Premium"
