How To Tell If Its The Longer Or Shorter Spring

Featured Replies

#1

I bought some brand new f6 rspec shocks off ebay and I am unsure if the require the longer or shorter springs (this is only for the fronts yes ? Rear is same as ba?)

Pat has explained to me I need to measure from the bottom mounting hole of the shock up to the spring seat.

When I do this I get a result of around 265mm ? Maybe im measuring from the wrong spot to the wrong spot ?

I really dont wanna order the wrong springs and have to send them back lol

Thanks

265mm sounds like you would need the longer springs but I wouldn't quote me on it.

Personally I have an FG but recently I helped a member on here lower his BF MKII and he used the longer springs.

Why dont you just call Wholesale Suspension and give them the measurements

Anything built after 07/07 should have the short spring installed.

Should have asked me mofo, as I have both at home. I could have measured for you.
