Hi people.

I have a bit of a problem with my tailshaft. I managed to twist my shaft and root the centre bearing.

my question is ,has anyone on here had there tailshaft replaced with a heavy duity item.

if so where did you get the shaft made and how much did you pay, I can get a stocker replacement for $800 and a hi po custom job for $1400

im interested in how much power some people have on the stock tailshaft, I know some are making much more than im making and have had no problems with there`s.

what do u guys think should I get the upgrade or was it bad luck my old one broke.

I fitted a Mal Wood Chrome Molly unit a few Years ago Buf.

Can't remember what it cost me, but it's still going good!

I twisted mine when I had about 385rwkw.

Give Mal a ring.

no probs nigel,

I spoke to mal today about the shaft he has for sale, sounds pretty interesting.

I may end up getting one of his units, the cars at my local mechanics getting the old one removed, I have a guy giving me a quote tomorow re a custom carbon wrapped alloy jobbie with a custom oval mounted centre bearing.

these things can really suck up the $$ at times, I need a new turbo soon the old ones getting a bit noisy.
