nahh I would take the peice off, sand back as much as you can so its smooth..

Even if you sand back a whole peice off and do the same on the opposite side, it will be like it was standard...

If your thinking that just because you paint or primer it, it will stop it from rubbing off then your wrong... its just going to rub off anyways..

Take your time and do it right the first time coz youll be pulling it apart again if you dont mate..
