Just had the car serviced ( non ford dealer ), and fingers crossed, very minor issues. Having had an XR6T prior to the G6ET, I was aware of things that can go pear shaped. First up..minor heat shield rattle..had that sorted with some additional anchorage screws.

Under sill fascia ( behind front tyres )..loose. He thinks a bracket may not have been used during assembly. Worth checking if you drive a G6ET.That'll be a warranty job. Front discs squeal..easily sorted. Had him check diff area ( been there. done that with the T ) ..all fine.

cheers

Steve

I have front right disc/pad squeal also. How did you fix yours? Was it a block dust seal in the caliper or the disc?

Mine just ticked over 20k now. Abit of a rattle too when cold, I think it's the turbo and not the heat shield. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd do your diff oil at 30,000kms, I did mine at 30,000 about a month ago, and the oil definitely needed changing.

also, I've found Ford don't give warranty on missing bits.

The work sheet is at the office, but from memory it was a simple fix involving the application of some anti squeal compound.
