4Sp Auto Issue

Hi everyone, my 1st post here so please go easy :smashedtooth:

My BA XR6T 4 Auto has a little niggle that annoys me and isnt right (atm only an induction otherwise power is stock, although that should change soon). Its always taken ages to get into reverse which I think is normal on these?? Recently however it doesnt go into reverse at all untill you slightly touch the exhallorator which obviously isnt good then it clicks in. Then it may go away for days and be fine then do it again, all the other gears and changes are smooth as and no whines or clunks. I am going to get it serviced but just wondered if anyone had had simmilar in the past or think its serious serious? Although you never know I dont think the cars had the power or anywhere near a hard enough life to have done a tranny and id think from doing a 4sp on my eb XR6 that it would clunk and slip through the forward gears.

Haven't had the issue myself, hopefully the service will rectify it. Have you checked the trans fluid levels and made sure they aren't low?

When I had my BA II it took 2-3 secs to go into reverse. They eventually changed the Tranny and it was fine after that. But I also understand that it can be a fluid issue, so try that first.
