V8 Bruteutes

Hey all, I was wondering about what utes they use in the V8 Brututes, do they use the Expensive Daewoo SS or the HSV Maloo R8, and do they use the Ford XR8 or one of the FPV utes?

Does anyone know what engines the BAs are running? One of the commentators' comments during the race gave the impression that the BA spec cars were just an aesthetic upgrade, which would make sense considering the parity issue (since they were fairly similar in performance with the Windsor). The regulations say "All engines must comply strictly with the relevant Vehicle Recognition Document".

The utes used are:

Ford: AU2 XR8

Holden: VU/VY SS

The BA's you see are all AU's (still with windosr eingine) that have been upgraded at the front. I.e Front Bar, Headlights, Grille, Bonnet, Guards.

The SS Utes are a mixture some are still VU's, some are VU's upgraded to VY and some are legit VY's.

All in all they are very close and produce some great racing!

I think the website for Brutes has more info on the engine upgrades but essentiallu they use the Gen 3 and the Windsor with control engine parts to bring them to a 240? kw limit (it may be less but it is more than standard)
