06/10/09 07:49 AM06/10/09 07:49 AM #1 just want to know if the std diff on the bf 6t is the 78 series or the 75 series cause id like to change the ratio to 4.11 or 3.91cheers in advance
06/10/09 08:36 AM06/10/09 08:36 AM #2 AFAIK, it's only AU Falcons that run 78 series mate. Your BF 6T will run an M86
06/10/09 08:41 AM06/10/09 08:41 AM #3 PS: Those diff ratio's will ruin your car.First gear on the ZF already struggles to get you down the driveway, and that's with the stock 2.73:1 diff...Don't do it
06/10/09 09:16 AM06/10/09 09:16 AM #5 I assumed so, then after my first post I saw 'Highway Patrol' in his signature. I can't see a highway patrol officer being capable of operating a clutch
06/10/09 10:12 AM06/10/09 10:12 AM #6 Author I assumed so, then after my first post I saw 'Highway Patrol' in his signature. I can't see a highway patrol officer being capable of operating a clutch nah your right it has a zf6 but was also quoting for a mate who has a ba xr6 4 speed but with the bf 6t diff (the ratio he has is to high for eg 1st gear 100k's) lolon a another quote when I spin in the wet in 1st (without stability on) the left rear seems like its jumping there is a loud thudding noise and the car is shaking if I go sideways (either side) its smooth I have had all the bushes and the 2 rear shocks replaced but was thinking that the bearings are gone or could it b something else.
07/10/09 02:02 AM07/10/09 02:02 AM #7 Author just came back from ford with the shuddering issue tried to explain it to them they are trying to tell me that even with the stability control on it will still become active if it senses that the car is going to loose control but when I said that when I kick it out (on a private lot) that it doesnt do anything heh could this be true or is he just spinning crap so they dont have to repair it??
