No Reverse

The other week I went out to the car to find I had no reverse, couldn't even select it. Solved it by driving it forward and messing around with it backwards and forwards.

Happened today at work and I can't resolve it, I now have to drive around conscious of the fact I can't reverse. Every other gear seems fine, can I do something in the meanwhile to keep the box running and select reverse until I have cash for a 6 speed?
