Hey guys, I have been told by my LPG mechanic that my cat is on its way out. Now I bought my car in April and I got the extended 3 year warranty for free. So if I go to ford to replace the cat, they wont cover it under warranty if there is any impact damage (whether if I did it or not) and they charge average 1400 dollars to replace it with a genuine Ford part. The warranty only covers a maximum of 1000 dollars and I feel as though I would get ripped off to get them to replace it. The cat will last a while longer at the moment, it isn't rattling yet.

I want to eventually upgrade my whole system from the extractors back, what system do you have and what do you recommend in terms of aftermarket systems.

I drive a 2005 BA MKII N/A XR6 Manual. I am located in Sydney.

Thanks for your help.

I was always under the impression that a cat back exhaust included everything after the cat?
