22/07/09 08:40 AM22/07/09 08:40 AM #1 hi guysI just brought a rapid V3 kit and am wondering what to do with it (besides fitting it). in the works is a full exhaust, injectors, and actuator mod. Im also running a generic tune at the moment and am very keen to get a custom tune done, but cant afford the exhaust injectors pump and actuator yet to get it done all at once. So I was thinking I'll install the kit, remove the centre muffler and get a custom tune done untill I can afford the rest. as I said damn keen to get off this sh*tty generic tune. What do people think of this idea? What power should I get from that?and will the center muffler removal yeild any more power? 22/07/09 10:45 AM22/07/09 10:45 AM #2 Well if you fit the V3 kit and get a tune, your injectors will be your stopping point to getting max power, so save the money get all your gear togetherdo it all at once save the money retuning all the time.
22/07/09 10:58 AM22/07/09 10:58 AM #3 Author yeah I was thinking that I'd be maxin the stock injectors. but I really want to get the cooler on, as the next stage would have to wait till after my wedding next year. I can get a pretty good price on a tune so I think I still might do it. what did you think of the plan about the exhaust. and would I get much more power than the generic tune im running at the moment, also keen to get rid of the generic tune cause im getting a bit of pinging on full throttle. im scared somethings gonna pop.

22/07/09 11:12 AM22/07/09 11:12 AM #6 Well you only really got 2 options. fit cooler and get tune OR flash back to stock and be patient and do it all at once. I recon do it all at once exhaust, cooler, injectors, pump and actuator it will be worth it in the end
22/07/09 11:19 AM22/07/09 11:19 AM #7 flash back to stock fullstop, then get your funds together n do all together, the wait will save u around 1kI dont know your $$$ circumstancesbut rushing in will just put your final result of however long 1k takes u to save
22/07/09 11:24 AM22/07/09 11:24 AM #8 Author yeah mate that's definatly the sensible thing to do but I cant wait for anything im quite impatient,I dont mind paying twice for a tune cause its gonna be a good 12 months before I can do the next stage I'd say. plus I just flashed it back to stock the other week to take back to ford and man it feels slow. thought I was driving my girlfriends lancer.
22/07/09 11:43 AM22/07/09 11:43 AM #9 haha just drive your girlfriend lancer for a week then get back into it stock
