June 5, 200917 yr #2 You got the 1808-24 with retainers? You know you could use factory retainers with the 1808. The ovate 1809 has a little too much seat pressure with standard retainers so crow have a .030" offset retainer to reduce pressure.
June 5, 200917 yr #3 Author Yeah I got the 1808-24 with reatiners.Fair enough, so I didnt need the retainers.Bloody salesman could have told me I didnt need them SOB.but I guess the question im asking is, are the specs good and are they a good Valve spring?
June 5, 200917 yr #4 I don't know from personal experience but I don't see them being too different to the other springs on offer.
June 9, 200917 yr #6 The ovate AlphaIII springs and retainers are being sold for 500 on ebay ATM. Bargain. Got mine http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=160340235460
June 9, 200917 yr #7 Mate I have standard valve springs on a ba and 300RWKWs so if you cant find 300 then whats the point
June 9, 200917 yr #8 BA valve springs are troublesome. Even with a factory tune, a BA will pull harder from around 4000rpm with valve springs.
