Abs And Traction Control Lights Up On Dash

Hi all

Lately on our BA, the ABS and traction control lights come on intermittently. This is remedied by turning off the engine and restarting.

Is there anything that I can do myself or should I take it to a professional?

Which is the better option. Take it to Ford or to a brake specialist?

Have you got different size tyres on the front or back?

If not that it's probably one of the ABS sensors playing up.

The wheels and tyres are all the same size and this has only started recently. I'm wondering whether to take it in to Ford or a brake specialist.

failing that take to an auto elec not ford and not a brake specialist. ive had trouble with the sensors in the past that's about all on the b series. get an auto elec to check for fault codes and write a list 4 u. hopefully it just codes one of the sensors then just replace the one it codes

Just to let you know that the problem has disappeared just as suddenly as it started without attention. The ABS and traction control lights on dash no longer come on when driving.

Perhaps there was some dirt or brake dust on the ABS sensors which cleared by itself.
