August 28, 200323 yr #4 Haven't noticed. Oh that's right...I drive an N/A j/k :D I've been driving at high speeds and have not noticed any probs with vibration. I'd rather have one than not at all. I have approx 20-30 stone chips in the front but bonnet is clean. Apart from that truck incident putting 2 scrapes into the bonnet, (now touched up), If I didn't have it, yes the bonnet would be a mess.
August 28, 200323 yr #5 Yes my bonnet protector had a little vibration at 140kmph (Live in the outback) and rubbed paint off the inside of the bonnet.Being a tyre fitter I cut the back of a tubeless valve and slid it on the inside of the bonnet under the protector smack bang in the midddle of the two attacment screws.Rubber
August 28, 200323 yr #6 Each to they own, I like the bonnet protector and she stops a lot of stone chips in the bush.
August 28, 200323 yr #8 I think you'll find it's the headlight protectors - this is in some other posts.130-140k is the point of vibration - earlier if there is a cross wind
August 29, 200323 yr #9 Hmmm, I'm sure I havent noticed any but hat's a good tip, might do that. Thanks DavoXT
August 29, 200323 yr #10 Howdy AllWe have just had a new product released last week. It's a clear film that covers the first 20-30cm of your bonnet.Previously these types of films had a problem with discolouring (yellowing).Accelerated age tests so far show no signs of deterioration. It's called "Clear Shield" & should be available from any tint shop that sells "Bekaert" films. It's hardly noticable & it sure as hell won't rattle!!RegardsBig AL
