Hi Guys,

I have a 2008 G6ET and I am still loving it.

I was just wondering has anyone modified the exhaust at all, either for better sound or performance?

Any suggestions as to what should be done and also will this void warranty at all?

Cheers

What I did was cut the factory muffler off & got a 3" cannon muffler welded on. Also had twin chrome tips out the back.. Very, very happy with the results.. Deep note, with no droaning.. When you press the load pedal... wow !!!!

here is a pic

Is there more than 1 factory muffler in the FG system?

Whats the length and size of the factory muffler?

Hi,

There is two mufflers on an FG XR6T. Centre muffler & one BIg ass muffler at the back.. Mine is gone now, but it is pretty big :innocent:

So you removed the rear muffler? Did you play with replacing the centre muffler also?

No I havent touched the middle muffler.. I am happy with the sound that I have.. Most of the system is 3" apart from one section that is 2 x 2 1/4"
