Fuel Pressure Regulator

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I understand XR6 turbos run a fuel pressure regulator that has a base fuel pressure of 4 bar.

Do the N/A 6 falcons run the same base fuel pressure?

I have a custom turbo setup and would like to use a factory item that runs 4 bar of fuel pressure.

I would prefer to get one second hand if possible.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Found a bit of info, not sure if its correct:

"They have no idea and say the spec for an F6 is 350kpa closed loop and 400kpa open loop.

Well that works for GT and XR8 but what happens to a rising rate fuel regulator when you add BOOST?.......DOH it will rise so the XR6T and the F6 will have much higher fuel pressure when on boost. To an extent that the F6 with 3 PSI more boost than the XR6T actually has Fuel pressure problems at full boost… but they don’t have a clue what or how or even why…. Quite simple really! and simple to fix."

Do F6s run a rising rate fuel regulator? I thought they were just 400kpa or 4 bar base fuel pressure.

"Description: This is a genuine Bosch 0 280 160 548 Fuel Pressure Regulator (for those that don't know Bosch made the genuine OEM ones for Ford) - it's the 300KPa version as found on the Tickford vehciles (XR6 and EFII/L Ghias, etc.)."

So looks like all N/A 6's are no help to me as I already have a 300kPa or 3 bar fuel pressure regulator.
