Clock on Dual-Zone ICC display was added on SY Territory Ghia - so that they could delete the cost of the roof-mount clock. I'm not sure if that filtered down to the Fairmont or not, because generally the Monty Ghia's were OK to have the clock stay on the dash.

Not even ASL can reconfigure old DZ ICC's for clock operation, and they have the contract for aftermarket ICC support from Ford. (Sumitomo, who make the ICC, while they are very polite, won't deal with retail customers, and point you to ASL for anything.)
