I was using a gutted BA cat and putting this one didn't really change the note.The x-force twin 2.5" cat-back exhaust with the 2 quiet mufflers certainly did though. That is where the note is from.....It's just a tad loud under 2000rpm for me but it's not too bad...sounds wicked under load though!!
