Xt Diffs

hey all,

a mate has an XT that's had a custom tune,bashed cat,exhaust and made 132kw stock to 165kw tuned.

NOW, he took it out the drags to the local 1/8th mile and watching this thing "launch" is like watching a nanna spool up her gopher, until he hits half track its got nothing until the turtle diff starts to come in, which got me wondering do these XT's have a different ratio to a NA XR6??

If so, we are thinking of fitting the 3.7's from a 6spd car, and where would be the best place to get one?

I think the xt's has the 3.23, where the xr's have the 3.45.

we are talking ba right?

3.73, maybe ferntree gully auto salvage?

there is a place in dandenong and you can get 4.11 diff gears and lsd fitted with new bearings for $1500

that's a great price....place called G&J

nah dont wanna go that low, price is to much anyways.

he just wants to get a centre from a wreckers or sumthing for like 600, that's why were lookin at 3.7's.

so can anyone clarify if the xt's DEFINATELY have a different ratio to the XR's?

XT's are 3.23, XR's are 3.45.
