Hey lads,

last night while I was heading back from my folks joint the ute develop a problem at WOT. I'll try to explain in as clearly as I can.

Stopped at a T intersetion, proceeded to turn left with moderate throttle. I got to about 3000rpm in 1st, lifted off the throttle, then WOT, then a little pop, loss all power and there was ticking noise coming from the engine.

pulled over, popped the bonnet and there was a loud ticking noise coming from the engine. No idea what it was. revving the engine moderately didn't help.

turned the engine off for a tick and restarted. ticking noise was gone and car is back to normal.

can anyone explain this?

ute is 05 mkII 6m, stocko except for k&n and no centre muffler.

Thanks.

Truong.
