Just bought a set of Falken RT615's for an up coming Track day at Eastern Creek.

Fitted Thursday. drove around a bit in the wet and as well today and could believe how well they felt!

Handling was solid and road noise very low.

I get a puncture in the near side rear. :w00t2:

Put on the 17" inch spare and drop in at the Goodspanner outlet at Harbord for a repair.

The tyre fixed for $25.00.

It's got 100+ klms on it.

Do I go and buy another tyre for the Track day, or do I assume the tyres up to the job??

Any thoughts???

Thanks

aren't repaired tyres rated at a lot less top speed ,don't think I would want to do much more than legal freeway speeds on a patched tyre

It should be fine as long as it wasn't a big puncture, the only thing I would do is get the wheel balanced again if it wasn't done already.

No, it wasn't a big ho;e. The was a "ring" impression the size of a 5 cent piece, but the hole was very small. I will drop back into the tyre place today and ask their opinion as well.

Thanks guys.
