Boost for Falcon colour palette

You've already seen wild new colours such as Acid Rush, Citrus and Phantom on Ford's BA Falcon, but there's much more to come.

Ford Australia president Geoff Polites says the company intends to release a range of limited-edition colours for the Falcon each year or so, similar to the way that arch-rival Expensive Daewoo has offered buyers a different "hero" colour with each generation of Commodore (Tiger for VTII/VX, Hyper Yellow for VXII and Hothouse Green for VY).

Look out for a replacement for Blueprint (the current bright metallic blue), as well as a bright green tint within the next year or so.

l think its a good idea that Ford are turning over the colours and keeping the line up fresh.

If l owned Blueprint l would be happy about this news, l cant see Ford coming up with a colour to rival it!

I think it good to see Ford turning the colours over. Certain colours are good but then too many people order it and it looses its appeal. Just look at WRX's that are painted that WRC Rally blue. It's a good colour that has been overdone and now it has the opposite effect. I would like to see Ford retire blueprint while it still turns people on, otherwise it will be everywhere and people will be sick of seeing it.

I think I understand how they wouldn't want to wear out a particular colour, especially one that is as good as 'Blueprint'. But, it will still be a shame to see it go.
