Can anybody recommend anyone in QLD and what I should ask for keeping in mind that this car is a daily driver??CheersJacob Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/41036-4-speed-auto-rebuild/ Share on other sites

These autos already come with high energy frictions and bands and I don't know of anyone actually fitting bigger clutches to them. The only thing you got to worry about is smashing planetry gears. The mod path for this is putting a set of AU III V8 planetries in the car. I have seen 4 friends smash the planetries, but my car has been running 270rwkw plus in it for nearly 60,000km. The C1 clutch sh*t itself out 8000km ago, but I never ever smashed a planetry, so go figure. It is a simple case of the harder you drive the car and the more power you put through it, no matter how strong you can make a component it will eventually wear out. How quick that happens depends on how much abuse you give the driveline and the condition of the components to begin with.
