Cheers!I got them at trade through a friend so they where a good price. Still not as cheap as you might think but a couple of hundred less than anywhere else I've seen at retail. But as I learned, you only get that brake line bracket in the PBR kit or from Fraud at a ridiculous price. The PBR performance kit must use C5 calipers http://www.pbrperformance.com.au/performance.htm. This C5 and C6 caliper thing is really confusing. Race brakes Sydney say they use a C5 caliper and it looks like a C6. FPV definately use a C6 caliper which is 25-30% more rigid than the C5. The C6 caliper is also used on the corvette overseas and you can buy the calipers seperately, whereas you can't seem to buy C6 calipers seperately in Australia. Bcr01 does sell the (what looks to be) C5 calipers seperately. If these (http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10126-04) C6 are a direct fit then I'll buy a set, just need some advice.http://www.pbrperformance.com.au/documents...pecBAFalcon.pdf.........and these look like C6...... WTF lol Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/38592-just-did-a-pbr-premo-upgrade/page/2/#findComment-579038 Share on other sites

I think the sports caliper is the same as the standard caliper but painted red! This suites the standard 298x28 rotor. The performance caliper is the stiffened one with the larger pads to suit the 325x32 rotor. The difference in price was about 300 a pair I think. You should be able to get the performance caliper on it's own then get whatever brand rotor you want. As I mentioned, the only gotcha is the bracket for the braided lines. PBR doesn't sell this seperately and Fraud wants $56 each retail compared to $2.10 for standard bracket. You could get one made up if you can get your hands on one though. PM me if you want my number and I can have a chat to you about it. Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 28/09/07 09:25 AM Share Posted 28/09/07 09:25 AM (edited) They are a C6 calliper guys, the C5 is an ealier version with the ribs, as fitted to the C5 vette..To those looking at t getting an upgrade caliper, be very careful with the brackets supplied. They must be engineered and ADR approved, or you will be in trouble in the event of a failure that results in an accident. I don't know what places that are fitting the C5 caliper are supplying, be sure they supply you with an ADR approval for their brackets.
