sorry if this has been covered before, but has anyone just taken the stock 6t intercooler off and polished it up? firstly will that damage it in anyway? secondly is it difficult to do? .... mine has suffered a few stone chips and looks pretty crap, thinking the chrome look would do the trick till I save enough pennies to get an upgraded one...

Some have brought Chrome paint from Supercrap and repainted it. From the looks of photo's it seems to come up pretty decent and will save a few long hard hours polishing.

I think bain polished his, looked really good.

I think the bloke charges $150, pretty reasonable in my opinion!

Leave it black until your ready to upgrade it... they look embarrissingly small when painted silver.

Just paint it, there's not much end tank to polish... and stripping it back would be hard and may damage it

Yeah that's what I was think. Thanks Chris, cant wait to get it fitted now, should look heaps better and bigger then my hybrid cooler

It will cool alot better too, so get ya sexmate to give it some more timing
