Lower Power Steering Cooler

Hi Guys

The early BA turbo's had both upper and lower power steering cooler. Has anyone that owns an early BA turbo removed the lower one? I ask because My lower power steering cooler is leaking from the clamps

Not sure about that. I have Feb 2003 Ba and I can only see the lower cooler which does a loop and is located just below the IC. I thought this was for the auto ??

Mine is a manual.

The upper and lower are both power steering coolers.

Just had another look. Upper and lower power steer coolers. Tried replacing clamps ?

Yeah, I have cut back both rubber hoses and replaced both clamps. I made sure they were both VERY tight. After a few days I find both connections are slighty wet( not dripping though). I think they are slighty seeping . I think the hoses have gone hard over time. I rang FORD to replace. One of the hoses is $60.00 because it has a special fitting. The other I can pick up for $13.00 a meter( standard 3/8th).

I know that the later BA Turbos only have the one power steering cooler- the top one.
