Definately not with the race motor as the $210 charge wouldn't even pay for the wear on the motor let alone the rest of the package!Considering a full blown V8 Supercar engine costs from $50k & up I don't think Beikoff will be running one at the drive day!The V8 Race experience also employ top drivers to sit in the passengers seat & guide you round the track.I don't know about you, but I'd rather have a steer then sit in as a passenger. I've done a fair few laps around there racing & in the passengers seat, but their is no bigger thrill than being behind the wheel! But we're only talking a couple of hundred, so go for it I say just sit back & enjoy the ride. Make sure they tip it in to turn 1 at full noise so you can sh*t yourself....LOLCheersRussI have to agree 100% that's why I did the drive day. I was just expecting a bit more realism about them. They looked more like modified Production Cars than real V8 Supercars. All they really had over standard cars were bigger brakes, slicks, cage, striped interior and loud exhaust. They looked and sounded great, but not as brutal as I was expecting. Hell even my sister got out there and drove one and she's not much of a driver.AFAIK the Beikoff hot laps is in their only V8 supercar #68. I asked if they just bolted in another seat and the answer was yes. Ideally I'd like to drive that car to see what it was like but as you know leasing a drive in a race car is not cheap and certainly out of my price range currently.I was really just trying to help gather support for one of the low buget teams who battle to get to each round and can use all the assistance they can get. In return you get to experience a real V8 Supercar. I know other teams charge in excess of $500 for a similar experience so I see it as good value. The hot laps this weekend is out at Morgan Park as they said it's hard to get track time at QR.Big AL Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36926-get-real-v8-supercar-hotlaps-for-just-220/page/2/#findComment-558824 Share on other sites

Although the V8 Supercar won't be able to stretch it's legs there as the straights are too short for it to wind up but is should drift right out under the bridge 7 have a fair bit of stick over the hill!Leasing a race car starts from $1100 Arrive & Drive for a days racing, leasing a V8 Supercar starts at $25,000 for a 3 day weekend! If you ever want to try you hand at circuit racing, give me call on 0412 375742 & I'll point you in the right direction or maybe be able to supply a car!CheersRuss Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36926-get-real-v8-supercar-hotlaps-for-just-220/page/2/#findComment-558839 Share on other sites

I was posting it up for anyone else who could make it tomorrow.I have been meaning to speak to you re your contacts as I'm trying to find a set of second hand R-spec tyres so I can have some fun on track days in the 'phoon. I need 18" tyres for a set of 8" BA XR8 rims as anything smaller doesn't clear the calipers. I can't afford the $600 per tyre new price. Any suggestions?Big AL Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36926-get-real-v8-supercar-hotlaps-for-just-220/page/2/#findComment-558998 Share on other sites
