Sss Auto 3-4 Manual Shift

Featured Replies

Had the transmission flushed at the last service and the first time I drove the car in SSS manual mode, noticed the 3-4 shift now seems to flare a little under partial throttle. The revs rise around 500-600 rpm after the shift then settle down again. Haven't noticed it under normal shifting. Other shifts seem fine.

Any ideas as to possible causes? I've read that incorrect fluid levels may be a possibility....

Are you certain that isn't the function of the torque converter locking up - does it happen in the nromal Drive mode?.......is your software edited?

This is usually the first sign that either the front band or C3 clutch is struggling, so be gentle on it, or you will be repairing your box before too long.

Wrong oil could cause this, so make sure ONLY Castrol TQ95 is used.
